1st COMPLIANCE CONFERENCE

In August, in partnership with J&F, JBS held, the 1st Compliance Meeting at the Company's headquarters in São Paulo. About 150 people attended the event, including employees from JBS, Banco Original, Flora, Amber, Eldorado, PicPay, Canal Rural, as well as market professionals, who met to discuss Compliance challenges and trends in Brazil. Were also present JBS Global CEO, Gilberto Tomazoni, and the chairman of the Board of Directors, Jeremiah O'Callaghan.

For 8 hours, some of Brazil's leading compliance professionals exchanged ideas and experiences to enhance and strengthen their knowledge of compliance programs and good corporate governance practices. The role of compliance in fighting corruption was also discussed.

Marcelo Proença, JBS Global Head of Compliance, presented during the conference the guidelines, policies and initiatives implemented on the JBS Compliance Program, called “Always Do It Right”, in compliance with the commitments made by the signing of Business Anti-Corruption and Integrity Compact of Ethos Institute, in 2018.

Through the “Always Do It Right” Program, the Company has been developing several measures aiming inside and outside JBS. Among these measures, there is the establishment of Ethics Line so that anyone can confidentially report any irregularities. The program also includes a large communications agenda, with monthly newsletter delivery and training of its employees.
