Sao Paulo, November 13, 2018 – JBS has just won another major award. As part of the APAS Acontece Award 2018, supermarket owners in the state of Sao Paulo elected Seara and JBS Carnes as this year’s best pork, chicken and beef suppliers. A survey carried out by the Supermarket Association of the State of São Paulo (APAS) asked its members about issues such as partnership, relationship, customer service, products, delivery and negotiations.
Ivan Siqueira, executive director at Seara, said the award was an important acknowledgement of the work done by the whole team. “We have invested a lot in our portfolio and services and this achievement underlines the fact we are on the right path and will continue to invest in product and service excellence. We also owe this major award to our sales team, which has been working hard to build relationships and is committed to offering the best possible customer service”, he said.
Based on its strategy of working hand in hand with retailers, the JBS Carnes commercial team is well aware of its customers’ needs and concerns and develops strategies to continue generating positive results. “We need this type of feedback from our customers so we can continue to invest in our relationships across this important link in the chain”, said Ailton Firmino, executive director for the Commercial area at JBS Carnes.
The APAS Acontece Award reflects the opinions of the association’s members and highlights the most efficient suppliers supporting supermarket owners’ day-to-day operations. The survey was carried out in partnership with GfK and audited by BDO. Participants chose standout suppliers in 21 different categories.
The award ceremony was held on October 30 at the Latin American Memorial in Sao Paulo.
