Committed to the advancement of issues related to diversity and inclusion, JBS formalized, on August 30, the creation of a specific Committee on the subject, linked to the Company’s Board of Directors. At the time, the Committee’s Bylaws were approved and its members elected. This initiative is added to a series of actions that JBS has implemented with the aim of ensuring an increasingly diverse and inclusive environment.
In March, the company hired RM Consulting, which has been working on the literacy of the company’s top leadership on the subject. Moreover, JBS joined the Women 360 Movement, an initiative that brings together more than 60 large companies. The goal is to increase female participation in the corporate environment.
As a result of its efforts up to date, JBS has received WOB (Women on Board) certification, which recognizes organizations with at least two women as counselors or executive directors. Supported by UN Women, Women on Board is an independent initiative aimed at promoting good practices in corporate environments, as well as tracking the benefits that companies enjoy as a result of diversity in leadership positions.
JBS also joined MOVER – Public Commitment to Racial Equity, focusing on the fight against structural and institutional racism. MOVER aims to generate 10,000 leadership positions for black people over the next three years.
